Katie Holmes enjoyed some leisure time in NYC on Wednesday – as her daughter Suri Cruise continues to settle into college life,
The actress, 45, whose daughter, 18, is studying at Carnegie Mellon, caught the eye in a graphic print top and baggy sweats as she sipped an iced coffee.
The star completed her ensemble with sneakers, a tan handbag and shades.
Her locks were worn in loose waves and she went make-up free for the outing.
The Dawson’s Creek alum is currently rehearsing at at the Barrymore Theatre for the new production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town.
Katie made her Broadway debut in 2008 for a production of All My Sons, and last appeared on Broadway in 2012’s Dead Accounts.

She will star as Mrs. Webb, the mother of Deutsch’s protagonist Emily Webb.
Richard Thomas, 73, of The Waltons fame will star as her husband Mr. Webb, and Jim Parson’s will tackle the role of Stage Manager.
Ephraim Sykes will star as George Gibbs and Billy Eugene Jones will play his father Dr. Gibbs in the contemporary update to the play first performed in 1938.
In an interview with Town & Country magazine for the September issue, Holmes revealed her daughter hopes to join the family business and will study acting and dance at Carnegie Mellon University.
The actress shares her daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise, 62.
The Top Gun star is estranged from his youngest child because she is not a member of Scientology, and is considered a ‘suppressive person.’
In their divorce, Cruise agreed to pay Holmes $38,000 a month in child support, which ended when Suri turned 18. He also agreed to cover her college costs. Tuition is currently $68,000 a year.
One of the acting courses available at Carnegie Mellon focuses on the films of Stanley Kubrick, which include his works from 1967-1999.
Among those are; Paths of Glory, Lolita, Dr. Strangelove, the Oscar winning 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Eyes Wide Shut, starring Cruise and then-wife Nicole Kidman.
