Good Morning Britain presenter Ed Balls was visibly moved to tears during a heart-wrenching segment on the tragic Southport stabbings that claimed the lives of three young girls.

Ed, alongside co-presenter Ranvir Singh, delved into the harrowing incident that unfolded at a children’s dance class in the coastal town.

In a poignant moment, they spoke with local mothers, one of whom revealed she had been running a Taylor Swift-themed event where kids danced and made friendship bracelets..

An emotional Ed struggled to express himself, saying: “That reference to making bracelets… young girls at a Taylor Swift dance club, making friendship bracelets.”

He continued, visibly choked up: “Which of course at concerts they give to strangers. And a stranger comes into the room and devastation occurs. It’s just shocking,” his voice laden with emotion as he spoke.

The victims of the senseless violence were identified by authorities yesterday (July 30) as six year old Bebe King, seven year old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and nine year old Alice Dasilva Aguiar. Heartbreaking images of the girls were shared by their grieving families, and the community came together for a vigil in their memory, reports the Mirror.

In a distressing turn of events, riots erupted in Southport this week, with law enforcement coming under fire and blazes ignited in the streets. Protestors hurled bricks at a local mosque, despite there being no evidence linking the stabbing suspect to Islam.

A 17 year old lad was nicked by the fuzz on suspicion of carrying out a brutal double murder after they nabbed him with a blade, but cops are not treating it as an act of terror.

Ranvir Singh shared a heartfelt homage on Good Morning Britain as images of the three tragically lost young girls flashed across the screen, saying to the audience: “Good Morning Britain, these are the pictures of the innocent lives that were taken far too soon.”

Heartrending statements rolled in from the distressed families of the girls, with Bebe’s relatives expressing their overwhelming heartache: “No words can describe the devastation that has hit our family as we try to deal with the loss of our little girl Bebe.”

Alice’s family said: “Keep smiling and dancing like you love to do our Princess, like we said before to you, you’re always our princess and no one would change that. Love from Your Hero Daddy and Mummy.”
