The BBC have made a massive change when it comes to the operation process for this years Strictly Come Dancing – and viewers will never guess the plans.

Strictly Come Dancing chiefs have announced they are set to really shake things up when the 2024 programme gets underway.

With the show approaching its 20th anniversary, producers felt it was time to keep the fan-favourite moving with time, making the glitzy competition more inclusive for all viewers.

The executives behind the change, have hailed that the programme will be the “most accessible” series yet as they roll out live signing for the very first time which will be available on BBC iPlayer and via the red button.

They’re not stopping there either, audio description and subtitle options will mean that the audience can now be more involved than ever before when it comes to casting votes for the live Saturday night shows, the Sunday results shows, the launch episode, the Christmas special and the upcoming 20th anniversary programme.

Over the course of the next year, the BBC have launched a plan to focus on British Sign Language (BSL) to celebrate the wonderful people who are reliant on BSL for everyday communication and in hope of the broadcasting giant paving the way for breaking down barriers when it comes to TV.

Meanwhile, there is widespread speculation that BBC chiefs could be about to make further changes to the glitzy programme, this after controversy that centered around Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice.

The actress claimed that during her stint last year, Giovanni’s behaviour towards her had on occasions been “threatening and abusive” as she accused the professional dancer of bullying. These are claims that the Italian-native profusely denies but has since been axed from the show anyway.

Since then, many other celebrities have crawled out of the woodwork to share their own experiences on the show, with Love Island’s Zara McDermott partner Graziano Di Prima also being removed from the programme.

There have been many cries for changes to be made, with the potential of the broadcasting giant introducing chaperones during training, this to make sure no wrong-doing happens off camera.
