Meghan Markle’s Birthday Drama: Career at a Crossroads as Royal Tour and Fading Business Ventures Spark Concerns! Is Her Lifestyle Brand Facing Serious Trouble?

As Meghan Markle celebrates her 43rd birthday today, fans await the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

A royal author suggests that she and Prince Harry might not achieve their hoped-for success.

It’s Meghan Markle’s birthday today – and as she turns another year older, she appears at a career crossroads.

This week, it was revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will travel to Colombia this summer for a four-day tour.

They are also set to appear on US TV later today to discuss their new project focused on online safety for children.

However, when it comes to her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, there have been few updates since the website and Instagram account went live back in March. There have only been social media posts several months ago by some of Meghan’s friends of the jam they received with the brand’s logo on it.

And according to royal author Tom Quinn, this may signal that the couple’s life plan has run into “serious trouble”. He told the Mirror : “Harry has never had any real idea about becoming an entrepreneur or a businessman in his own right. He is trained from birth to do one thing only – to be a royal and he has thrown that away.

“His one hundred per cent support for his wife and her business ventures has never wavered but it hasn’t been enough to make a success of her company. Meghan is proof that self-belief won’t always guarantee success. It won’t always make you a great entrepreneur and businesswoman.”

It’s unclear how Meghan will be spending her birthday today – although the big day will be marked with her and Harry’s appearance on US TV. They have pre-recorded an interview for CBS Sunday Morning about a new initiative supporting parents of children affected by online harm, which will be broadcast later today.

In a clip released online, Meghan says about her eldest child Prince Archie and daughter Princess Lilibet: “Our kids are young, they are three and five, they’re amazing, but all you want to do as parents is protect them. And so as we can see what’s happening in the online space, we know that there’s a lot of work to be done there and we’re just happy to be able to be a part of change for good.”

In a reference to how the mental well-being of young people can be affected by experiences online, Harry says: “At this point, we’ve got to the stage where almost every parent needs to be a first responder, and even the best first responders in the world wouldn’t be able to tell the signs of possible suicide. That is the terrifying piece of this.”

Meanwhile, in terms of the trip to Colombia, Harry and Meghan will travel to the capital Bogota and elsewhere with hopes of a repeat of the rapturous reception on the couple’s state visit-like tour of Nigeria. They will fly in at the invitation of vice-president Francia Márquez, who serves as equality minister.

The jaunt will take place this summer, ahead of the first Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, which is set to be held in Colombia this November. The pair have formed a relationship with Colombia, which is the only country in Latin America to have participated in the Invictus Games, which Harry founded.

Speaking about the Colombia trip, a source told the Mirror: “Harry and Meghan will carry out a series of engagements aligned to the work of their Foundation and lifelong philanthropic endeavours. The visit is part of their ongoing commitment to global philanthropy, building on their previous work in various countries and continuing their efforts to make a positive impact worldwide.”
